Washington D.C.: The United States is bracing for a new wave of political drama as former President Donald Trump is set to brief the nation following Elon Musk's public criticism of a major bill from the Trump camp.

“Key briefing with Elon Musk on last day. Musk will always be with us,” Trump declared—a bold statement amidst growing tensions.

The once-celebrated alliance between Trump and Musk has apparently come to a dramatic halt. Musk recently stated that the 130-day cooperation deadline had ended—barely a day after publicly criticizing Trump’s new bill involving tax reforms and budget reconciliation.

Initially, their relationship appeared tight. Musk was visible even during Trump’s campaign days, showing early support. But over time, disagreements emerged, starting with immigration and visa policies. The new bill has now exposed the rift even more clearly.

Trump’s Tariffs Get Temporary Court Backing

Meanwhile, Trump’s controversial tariffs have been granted a temporary stay by a federal appeals court. This comes after a lower court ruled that Trump had overstepped his authority by imposing sweeping duties.

White House advisor Peter Navarro responded defiantly, stating that even if courts block the tariffs, “we’ll find other ways.”

Experts suggest the administration might exploit alternate legal routes, reaffirming Trump’s known stance: “Tariff is the most beautiful word in the English dictionary.”

Trump’s legal team, led by Howard Lutnick, has appealed the lower court’s decision—relying on emergency powers to justify the tariff imposition.

The appellate court’s decision now puts the earlier ruling on hold. Both parties are expected to submit formal responses by June 9, leaving room for more legal uncertainty ahead.

Whether this political and legal battle strengthens or weakens Trump’s grip on trade policy remains to be seen. But one thing’s clear: the Trump-Musk bromance is officially over.
